Book Cover: 24 yds or 0.45 oz (22 m or 13 g)

Yarn Substitutions
Any worsted weight (weight # 4) yarn will work for this project. You can use cotton, acrylic, or wool. Other brands include (Red Heart Super Saver, Bernat Value Yarn, Peaches and Cream Cotton by Yarnspirations, and Local Made Cotton by Lion Brand.

Size G (4mm) (UK Size 8) Crochet Hook (or the hook size needed to meet the gauge).

For this project, you will need to know how to chain, and single crochet. You will also skip stitches to make a place to put stitch markers.

Rows 2-8: CH1, turn, SC in each ST across. (26)
Row 9: CH6 (to extend the row), turn, SC in the second CH from the hook. SC in the next 4CH, SC in the next 26 STs. (31)
Row 10: CH1, turn, SC in next 28 STs, CH2, Skip 2 STs, SC in last ST.
Row 11: CH1, turn, SC in first ST, Work 2 SC in the CH2 Space, SC in next 28 STs. (31)

Crochet Needle Book Assembly
Lay the inside page in the center of the book cover. Sew the page to the book cover using the same color yarn as the book cover and a straight stitch. Weave in your ends.
Close the book and fold the button flap over the edge of the book. Use the buttonhole to determine the placement of your button. Using a sewing needle and thread, sew the button in place and knot and clip your thread ends.
Now your Crochet Needle Book Case is complete and ready to be enjoyed. They work up quickly and are a great addition to every project bag, making them a lovely gift for most crafters.
