The Candy Bucket – I don’t know about you, but Halloween has a way of sneaking up on me. If I am lucky to get the Halloween costumes purchased before the week of Halloween I am lucky. So when it comes to DIY and crocheted Halloween Decor it has to be fast and it has to be easy.
The Candy Bucket free crochet pattern is just that. It works up fast using two strands of yarn at a time and the design is simple and easy. Just use one of the 3 tapestry charts available to add a little character to your bucket. It doesn’t matter if you only have a day or two left before Halloween. These buckets can easily be worked up in a single sitting.

Candy Bucket Pattern
Notes
- I do not count my turning chain as a stitch.
- It is easiest to pull from the center of two skeins of yarn or wrap the yarn into two cakes or balls and pull from them. THis is easier then pull two strand from one skein.
Working with two strands at a time.
R1: In a Magic Circle, Sc 6, slst to first Sc.
R2: Ch1, turn, make two single crochet in each stitch around, slst to first Sc. (12)

R4: Ch1, turn, (Sc in the next 2 stitches, 2 Sc in the next stitch) repeat from (to) around, slst to first Sc.

This is also where you will be using the graph to add a picture to your bucket using the 20 single crochet stitches in bold.
Note: (Optional) I really like to finish off my bucket by using a crab stitch or reverse single crochet stitch in each stitch around. If you are not familiar or want an easy version of these stitches I recommend looking at Moogly’s Stitch Tutorial for the Twisted Single crochet stitch.
R31: Ch1, (Rsc or Tsc) in each stitch around. Slst to first st. Fasten off and weave in ends.
Candy Bucket Handle
Working with two strands.
R1: Ch 35, turn, sc in the second ch from hook and every ch across. (34)
R2: Ch1, turn, sc in each stitch across. Fasten off, and weave in ends.
Use the Bucket body color of yarn to sew handle on to the bucket.
Once your handle is sewed on and all tails are woven in your bucket is done!
Use charts below to add character to your candy bucket.
