Lately I have just fallen in love with mimicing knitted items using crochet. For this faux knit ear warmer, I used a stitch called the yarn over slip stitch. It does have a few other names but they are all pretty long.

This crochet twisted ear warmer is a very simple, one row repeat pattern. You just need to get comfortable with the new stitch. Once you get the hang of this stitch you are good to go.

While working on my “How to Crochet” series, I wanted to provide several beginner-friendly patterns to help new crocheters practice. Plus, I wanted to show beginners how many items they could make with just crocheted squares and rectangles.

A large blanket can be intimidating to a beginner, but the snuggle blanket works up really fast using a large hook and thick blanket yarn. Every row you work adds an inch to the blanket. I made this blanket using yarn from my stash and just crocheted random stripes.

You can make a solid color blanket in your favorite color or combine some colors like I did.
