Measure your gauge and adjust hook size as needed.

  • The pattern is written using American crochet terms.
  • The turning chain does not count as a stitch.
  • The Crochet Spice Market Blanket pattern is copyrighted by Winding Road Crochet.
  • The only difference between sizes in the starting chain and the number of rows worked in the middle of the blanket.
  • The border is the same width for all sizes.
  • Make sure to check your gauge before you start the pattern. Also, check your width after working 2-3 rows and your length before completing the top border rows.
  • The multiple for this pattern is a multiple of 3 + 22 for the starting chain.
  • If you wish to work a foundation row of foundation half double crochets, you will work one stitch less than the starting chain number.
  • The main portion of the blanket is a two-row repeat. You will continue alternating these rows until the blanket is 3 inches from the final height.
  • The stitch count will be the same for all rows, one less than the starting chain.

Top Border Rows

Top Border Rows 1-7: CH1, turn, HDC in the BLO of each ST across.

Fasten off and weave in your ends. Since the border was worked along with the main texture of the blanket, the blanket is done and ready to be enjoyed. Because of the large hook used for the blanket this blanket works up faster than expected.
