The Odyssey Cowl is destined to be your favorite fall accessory this year. Fall is on its way and that means holidays and road trips to see family and friends. So if you need a light cowl to keep you warm on the car trip or a car trip crochet project, this free crochet pattern is perfect for the job.

From leggings and a jacket to road trip chic, this cowl will be your travel buddy for all of your adventures. The Odyssey cowl is made with Lion Brand’s Mandala yarn or Pound of Love yarn. The fringe gives it a trendy feel and the lighter yarn makes this accessory easy to stuff into a purse or backpack if you get to warm.

If you are crocheting on your road trips, you will be happy to know you can make two cowls from one skein of Mandala yarn, so whip up one for you and one as a gift for the person you are visiting.

Fringe
Now, take your book and wrap your yarn around it 77 times. Actually make it 80 times just for a little extra. Cute the yarn at both ends of the book. This will give you 160 strands of 9 inch yarn to use for fringe. Use one strand to add fringe to each stitch in Round 16.
Once you are complete your fringe your cowl is done and ready to go on an adventure with you!
