This pattern is just for the crochet ghost applique in two sizes. There will be notes further down for how to turn this applique into a coaster, keychain, and garland. Of course the applique can also be sewn onto anything to add a little Halloween vibe.

Yarn

I Love This Yarn – (Weight 4/ Medium, 5 oz/ 141g, 355 yds/ 324 m)

Yarn Quantity

Large Ghost

White – 15 yds (14 m)
Black – 1 yds (1 m)

Small Ghost

White – 8 yds (7 m)
Black – 1 yds (1 m)

Note: Yarn amounts are for a single ghost. Amounts for the white will need to be doubled when making a keychain. If you use the pattern to make a garland or decorate a sweater, then you will need to multiple yarn amounts for the number of ghosts that you are making.

Yarn Substitutions

Any yarn will work for this pattern. Size #4 yarn (medium) will use the hook listed. If you use a thicker yarn, you will have to go up one or two yarn sizes.

Hook

Size E (3.5 mm) Crochet Hook
Size J (6 mm) Crochet Hook (For Coaster)

Notions

Skill Level – Easy

For this project, you will need to know how to increase stitches and how to work into the side of crochet rows. Charts are provided for clarity only. You do not need to know how to read a crochet chart.
