Learn to crochet the colosseum stitch pattern with this easy-to-follow written pattern and video tutorial.
Below you will find the complete pattern, instructional photos, and video tutorial for the crochet colosseum stitch.
The Colosseum Stitch?
This is not an official crochet stitch but a stitch pattern or stitch combination that I created and named. I thought the gaps looked like the arches of the Roman Colosseum.
The Colosseum stitch uses the chain, single crochet, and double crochet to create a sturdy mesh stitch.
What to use it for?
Projects that would look lovely with this crochet stitch include:
– Swimming Suit Cover Ups
– Spring Scarves
Consider adding 2-4 rows of the colosseum stitch into a blanket design to make a lighter, airer crochet blanket.
