Fold one strand of yarn in half and use your hook to pull the folded part of yarn through the front loop of a stitch. Then take the yarn end and pull them through the loop. Pull tight and this will secure the hair in place. Continue to work one piece of yarn into the 30 stitches on the back of the head.

Assembling your Bunny Crochet Doll

Sew the head onto the doll’s body. Sew the arms to row 41 or 42 of the body. Dress your doll in her spring dress and the bunny hat. If you like you can use a small amount of blush on the doll’s cheeks to make them rosy. Using a piece of yarn gather the doll’s hair into two pigtails and secure them with the yarn. You can cut the hair to be shorter if you like.

Now your Bunny Crochet Doll is complete and ready to be enjoyed. They work up fast and make a great gift.

  1. Love the bunny and bet outfit. You say you are considering other outfits, could you do like the four seasons, do like this one here could maybe be autumn or spring as in Spring it can still be s bit chilly so you continue wearing the hat but could add a cardigan like Aran or chunky knit type plus maybe a scarf. Summer could be shorts or skirt with t-shirt type top. Winter would be additional cost or jacket with mittens and boots.

But you could add school uniform, beach or holiday wear, activity clothing like rainbow, brownies or girl guides, or some other things like that. Others could be for special events like birthday parties, proms, weddings etc.

Have you considered the dress of the world, so the bunny girl gets a traditional dress for the country you visit. May Eva quiz/fact finding mission, so that when the traditional dress is passed to the girl she can first do research so she understands about the country bit then can learn why the people of that country wear that style of dress…so becomes a geographical or historical project in a sense, so where you offer the crochet planner, you could do a similar one for the bunny for the ‘adoptive’ recipient to complete and hopefully will bring more pleasure to the gift.

This could then be expanded to s bunny boy version.

Hope some of the ideas might help you in your creativity.

    • I will have to look back and see how well the pattern did to see if it is worth making more patterns like this. If I make more dolls like this, I will make sure that their clothes are interchangeable.
