A Bunny Crochet Doll for her Easter Basket

Every year I like to fill my daughter’s Easter baskets with fun goodies and at least one or two handmade items. This year Bette the Bunny Doll will be in my daughter’s basket. This doll works up quickly and you can make several dresses in different colors to go with her.

If you like this doll, let me know in the comments below and I will consider making more designs with different outfits and hair styles.

Customizing your Crochet Bunny Doll

Please get creative with your crochet doll. You can change her skin color. I like to use Red Heart Super Saver Aran, Buff, and Cafe Latte for different skin tones. Change her hair color and the color of her dress to make her unique.

We will add strands of yarn to our hair piece the way you would add fringe to a scarf. Cut 30 pieces of yarn that are 14 inches long. Fold one strand of yarn in half and use your hook to pull the folded part of yarn through the front loop of a stitch. Then take the yarn end and pull them through the loop. Pull tight and this will secure the hair in place. Continue to work one piece of yarn into the 30 stitches on the back of the head.

Assembling your Bunny Crochet Doll

Sew the head onto the doll’s body. Sew the arms to row 41 or 42 of the body. Dress your doll in her spring dress and the bunny hat. If you like you can use a small amount of blush on the doll’s cheeks to make them rosy. Using a piece of yarn gather the doll’s hair into two pigtails and secure them with the yarn. You can cut the hair to be shorter if you like.

Now your Bunny Crochet Doll is complete and ready to be enjoyed. They work up fast and make a great gift.
