Make a beautiful crochet blanket. This big border blanket has a border that is worked with the center of the blanket. Follow the free crochet pattern and video tutorial to make this blanket in many different sizes.
Below you will find the complete pattern and instructional photos for the Big Border Blanket crochet pattern. You will also find all the material list, stitch list, gauge, video tutorial, and sizing information.

Big Border Blanket with a Built-in Border
This beautifully textured blanket is worked all in one piece with the border built into the main section of the blanket. This is a technique that I have used for the Ombre Blanket and the All in One Blanket.

Yarn Substitution and Sizes
This blanket uses a category 4 yarn that is easy to substitute. I used Red Heart Super Saver, but you could use any worsted-weight size yarn for this pattern. Consider Red Heart With Love, or Bernat Classic.
This blanket can be made in many different sizes. You will simply work a different size starting chain and a different number of rows to achieve the different sizes.

The Premium Ad-Free PDF Pattern
Below you will find the free pattern with all the instructional photos and videos needed to complete the pattern, but I am also aware that several of us like to crochet on the couch, in the car, or in bed with a printout of the pattern. This is why I also offer a nicely formatted large font PDF version of the pattern that can be purchased on Etsy or Ravelry. You can print the pattern and take it on the go with you or tuck it into your project bag.
